How to Make Pineapple Pulao

  • Soak saffron in milk and set aside. Simmer pineapple with sugar in water until thick syrup is formed. Melt ghee, stir in garam masala and fry for a few minutes.
  • Stir in rice until coated with ghee, add sufficient boiling water so it comes 2.5 cm above rice.
  • Season with salt, cover and simmer for 15-20 mins until all liquid is absorbed.
  • Stir in pineapple and syrup.
  • Add almonds to saffron and milk and pour over the rice.
