Ingredients

  • 1 pineapple, finely chopped.
  • 1 cucumber, finely chopped.
  • 1/2 of one coconut, grated.
  • 2 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp - Jaggery (sharkara).
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds.
  • Curd as required.
  • 3 Cloves garlic.
  • 3 green chillies, chopped.
  • Salt as required.

How to Make Pineapple pulisseri

  • Heat 2 cups of water in a vessel.
  • Put the pineapple and cucumber pieces together with turmeric, salt and cook till it done.
  • Grind together the grated coconut, cumin seeds and garlic cloves and add this paste to the above.
  • Add the green chillies and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Switch off the stove and allow it to cool.
  • Add curd and mix well.
  • Add a little jaggery.
  • Serve with rice.
