Ingredients

  • 1 pineapple, finely chopped.
  • 1 cucumber, finely chopped.
  • 1/2 of one coconut, grated.
  • 2 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp - Jaggery (sharkara).
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds.
  • Curd as required.
  • 3 Cloves garlic.
  • 3 green chillies, chopped.
  • Salt as required.
  • How to Make Pineapple pulisseri:

    1. Heat 2 cups of water in a vessel.
    2. Put the pineapple and cucumber pieces together with turmeric, salt and cook till it done.
    3. Grind together the grated coconut, cumin seeds and garlic cloves and add this paste to the above.
    4. Add the green chillies and cook for 5 minutes.
    5. Switch off the stove and allow it to cool.
    6. Add curd and mix well.
    7. Add a little jaggery.
    8. Serve with rice.
