Ingredients

  • 4 cups - plain flour.
  • 1/2 cup - mung beans.
  • 1/2 cup - pistachios.
  • 4 - green chillies.
  • 1 inch long - Ginger piece.
  • 1/2 tsp - asafoetida.
  • 1 tsp - aniseed.
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves.
  • oil for frying.
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Pista Dal Kachori:

    1. Soak the dal overnight and drain.
    2. Place the dal in a food processor. Add the pistachio, chilli, ginger, asafoetida, coriander, aniseed and salt.
    3. Blend, adding water if needed.
    4. Then fry the dal mixture till brown.
    5. Make a stiff dough of the plain flour, adding a pinch of salt and 4 tbsps oil.
    6. Divide the dough into small balls.
    7. Flatten each ball and place about 1 tsp of dal pista paste in it. Roll into small rounds.
    8. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the kachoris till golden brown.
