Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - wholemeal flour (atta) .
  • 1 cup Rice flour.
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder.
  • 1/4 tsp - asafoetida.
  • 1/2 tsp - roasted cumin seeds, ground.
  • 2 tbsp - ghee.
  • Ghee for frying.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Pithi poori

  • Knead a stiff dough with all the ingredients (except ghee for frying) with water.
  • Make equal sized balls.
  • Roll out into 10 to 12 cm discs and fry in batches in hot ghee till puffed up and golden.
  • Serve with any vegetable.
