Ingredients

  • 2 - mangoes, medium sized
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • 1/2 tsp - powdered Cardamom
  • 8 to 10 - cashews, soaked in warm water for about 30 mins
  • 1/2 tsp - Ghee
  • A few pieces of cashews, Almonds and Raisins
  • Sugar to taste

How to Make Plain Aamras

  • Peel the skin of mangoes. Remove the pulp and mash well.
  • Add sugar, cardamom powder and mix well. Keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in a small pan and roast the nuts and raisins.
  • Add to the mango pulp.
  • Grind the soaked cashews to a fine paste with some milk and add to the mango pulp.
  • Blend all the ingredients together in a mixie and pour into a bowl and chill.
  • Add milk to the mango mixture just before serving.
