Ingredients

  • Besan (chickpeas flour) - 2.5 cups
  • Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
  • Powdered Sugar - 1 to 1.5 cups
  • Coarsely powdered Cashew nuts - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Melted Ghee (cooled) - 1-1.5 cups
  • How to Make Plain Besan Laddoo:

    1. Heat 3 tbsp of ghee and roast both the flours together till light brown and fragrant. Let the mixture cool.
    2. Mix in the powdered sugar, cashew nuts, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
    3. Add remaining ghee, a little at a time, mixing well till the mixture is bound together and can be shaped.
    4. Take small lumps of the mixture and shape into laddoos.
