Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Rice [soaked for 20 minutes]
  • 1 kg - Mutton or Chicken
  • 2 tsp - Onion paste
  • 4 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 2 tsp - coriander paste
  • 2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 2 - medium onions, chopped
  • 4 - boiled eggs
  • 8 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 10 - Cardamoms
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Plain Biryani:

    1. Heat the oil, add chopped onions and fry until they turn brown.
    2. Then add mutton or chicken.
    3. Stir and cook for two minutes.
    4. Then add the cloves, cardamoms and salt to taste.
    5. After frying the mixture for ten minutes, add the paste of onions, ginger and garlic.
    6. Allow to cook for two minutes while stirring, and then add the red chilli, coriander and turmeric powders.
    7. Add 1 litre of water and cook for 20 minutes.
    8. Then add the rice and cook on low fire until it is ready.
