Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - cut pieces of Chicken
  • 2 cups - long grain Rice
  • 1 cup - Coconut Milk
  • 2 tsp - Ginger and Garlic paste
  • 2 - Onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup - Curd
  • 1 tsp - red chilly powder
  • 1 bunch - Mint leaves
  • 3 tsp - Ghee
  • a few pieces - Clove
  • small stick - Cinnamon
  • a few green Cardamom
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Plain Chicken Biryani:

    1. Heat ghee. Add chopped onions and fry till golden.
    2. Add ginger-garlic paste, cardamom, cinnamon, chilli powder, beaten curd and chicken pieces.
    3. Let it boil for a while.
    4. Add washed rice, salt and mint leaves and enough water.
    5. Cover it with a thick lid and slow cook on medium flame.
    6. Open the lid once done and garnish with fried dry fruits.
