Ingredients

  • 1 cup - besan
  • 1 cup - Rice flour
  • 3-4 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 green pepper
  • Sugar and salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - eno fruit salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • To Garnish:
  • Cilantro (finely chopped)
  • Fresh grated Coconut
  • Oil and mustard seasoning
  • How to Make Plain Dhokla:

    1. Mix besan and rice flour together. And turmeric powder, salt and sugar.
    2. Blend ginger and garlic to a paste and add to the flour mixture.
    3. Add water to form a batter.
    4. Boil water in the cooker.
    5. Grease a container with a drop of oil pour the batter and now add 1 tsp Eno fruit salt.
    6. Close the lid of the cooker.
    7. Remove the top weight of the cooker. Pressure cook for ten minutes.
    8. Cool it and garnish with Cilantro, fresh coconut.
    9. Sprinkle oil and mustard seasoning on the top. Serve hot with chutney.
