Ingredients

  • 1 kg - rahu fish pieces
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 4 - green chillies, sliced
  • For paste:
  • 2 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 2 tsp - Khus Khus
  • 8 - Garlic
  • 10 - cashew
  • A pinch of Turmeric
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 - Lemon
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Plain Fish Masala

  • Wash the fish and marinate it with lemon juice.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add onions and fry them till soft.
  • Grind all the ingredients with a little water, except chilli powder, turmeric powder, lemon and coriander leaves.
  • Add ground masala, chilli powder, salt and turmeric. Mix well.
  • Add the fish along with a little water and cook till done.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves and juice of lemon.
  • Serve hot with rice.
