  • 1/2 kg - medium size Prawns
  • 4 tbsp - plain flour or Maida
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • Oil required for deep frying
  • How to Make Plain Fried Prawns:

    1. Wash, clean and de-vein the prawns.
    2. Make a batter with the flour, chilli powder, salt, turmeric, beaten egg and a little water.
    3. The batter should not be too thick or too thin.
    4. Dip the prawns in the batter and deep fry till golden brown.
    5. Serve as a side dish or a snack.
