Ingredients

  • 1 bunch - mint leaves
  • 1 bunch - coriander leaves
  • Green chillies to taste
  • A small piece of ginger
  • A lime-sized ball of jaggery
  • A lime-sized ball of tamarind
  • Salt to taste
  • For seasoning:
  • Oil
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • A pinch of asafoetida

How to Make Plain Green Chutney

  • Grind all the ingredients together.
  • For seasoning:
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Roast and pour on the chutney.
  • Mix well.
  • Serve with samosa, dosa, rice or use as a relish for sandwiches.
