Ingredients

  • 1.25 cups - Rice flour
  • 1/4 cup - rava
  • 1/4 cup - Maida flour
  • 1 cup - chopped Onions
  • 6 to 7 - chopped Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - sesame, white seeds
  • 4 tsp - broken groundnuts
  • 1/2 tsp - Jeera seeds
  • 1 pinch - baking soda
  • 1 ladle - refined oil
  • chopped coriander
  • salt
  • How to Make Plain Maddur Vada:

    1. Mix all the ingredients with a little water to make stiff dough.
    2. Take a ball of dough and flatten it out on a plastic sheet.
    3. Poke with a fork at the centre in a few spots.
    4. Deep fry till golden brown and crisp on both sides.
    5. Serve with tomato ketchup or coriander-coconut chutney.
