  • 1/2 kg - wheat flour
  • 1.5 kg - sugar
  • 1.5 kg - ghee
  • 1 cup - water
  • A tsp - milk
  • A little - kesar

How to Make Plain Malpuri

  • Mix wheat flour with water to make a soft liquid batter.
  • Add sugar, mix well so as to obtain a dosa-like batter.
  • Soak kesar in milk and add it to the batter
  • Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and pour about a spoonful of batter into it.
  • Spread it a little so as to get flat malpuris and fry till crisp and brown.
