Ingredients

  • 1 lb - Mushrooms
  • 0.5 lb - Matar ( Green peas )
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Jeera powder
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • A pinch - Turmeric
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 3 - Onions
  • 1 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 lb - Tomatoes
  • 45 gm - blanched nuts (almonds, cashew nuts)
  • 1 cup - Curd
  • Few - Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Plain Matar Mushroom:

    1. Grind onions to a fine paste.
    2. Grind the nuts separately and add to the onion paste.
    3. Heat oil in a kadai, fry the onion paste till golden brown.
    4. Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for a few seconds.
    5. Add tomatoes, chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, turmeric powder and fry till oil leaves the masala.
    6. Now add mushrooms and peas and fry for 2 min.
    7. Add beaten curd, some water, and bring to a boil.
    8. Let it cook, till the mushrooms and peas are done.
    9. Mix well and serve hot, garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
