Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Tur dal
  • 1 - small bunch of Methi chop only the leaves
  • 1 - small onion, chopped finely
  • 1 small - tomato, chopped
  • 2 tbsp - Coconut fresh, grated
  • 2 tbsp - crushed Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp - Haldi powder
  • 1.5 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp - Gur
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for tempering

How to Make Plain Methi Dal

  • Cook the dal along with onion and methi.
  • Then, add tomato, chilli powder, haldi, garam masala. Boil for 5 mins.
  • Add salt, gur and coconut paste. Simmer for 2 mins.
  • Then temper garlic over it in oil. Boil for one min.
  • Serve with boiled rice.
