Ingredients

  • eggs - 2
  • Maida - 3/4 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Baking Powder - 3/4 tsp
  • Milk - 2 tbsps
  • Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
  • How to Make Plain Microwave Basic Sponge Cake:

    1. Sieve flour and baking powder together. Keep aside.
    2. Powder the sugar. Put sugar and eggs in a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
    3. Remove from the mixie and add maida and baking powder.
    4. Fold in the flour and then add essence to it.
    5. Mix it fully and finally pour the mixture into a greased plate.
    6. Instead of a cake tin, you could use a glass bowl.
    7. To Bake: Microwave in 'crisp mode' for 6 mins at 850 watts.
    8. Cool it for 10 mins and remove from the tin.
