Ingredients

  • 1 lb packet - peas| For Seasoning:
  • 10 to 12 - cashews.
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds.
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin.
  • Curry leaves.
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric.
  • 2 tsp - cooking oil| Grind to fine Paste:
  • 1/2 cup - Sesame.
  • 4-5 Red Chilli pods.
  • 1 tsp - cumin.
  • 1 tsp - Rice flour or 2 tsp - soaked Rice and 1/2 cup - water.
  • How to Make Plain Peas Masala:

    1. In a pan heat 2 tsp cooking oil. Add the seasonings.
    2. When the seeds pop, add the peas and fry for a few minutes.
    3. Now, add 2 cups of water and bring to boil.
    4. Once the peas are tender, add the ground paste. Add salt to taste. Bring to boil.
    5. Top with 1 tsp ghee.
