  • 2 cups - Thick poha.
  • 1/2 tsp -Mustard seeds.
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds.
  • 6 to 8 - Curry leaves.
  • 3 to 4 - green chillies, slit.
  • 1/2 cup - Chopped onions.
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 2 tsp- oil.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 2 tbsp - Chopped coriander.
  • 4 - Lemon wedges.

How to Make Plain Poha

  • Place the poha in a sieve and hold it under running water for a few seconds.
  • Toss well to drain out all excess water and keep aside.
  • Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add the curry leaves and green chillies and stir for 1 minute.
  • Add the onions and saute until the onions turn pink.
  • Now add the turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
  • Then add the poha and mix well.
  • Garnish with the coriander and lemon wedges.
