Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - fresh Prawns shelled and de-veined.
  • 2 -medium sized Onions chopped.
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder.
  • 2 tsp - cumin powder.
  • 2 tsp - Garlic paste.
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar.
  • Salt.
  • 2 -tomatoes pureed or chopped finely.
  • 2 tbsp - oil.

How to Make Plain Prawn Vindaloo

  • Wash the prawns well and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add the onions and fry till light brown.
  • Add the garlic paste and saute for a while.
  • Add the chilli powder, cumin powder, tomato, salt and fry for some time.
  • Add prawns, vinegar and mix well.
  • Add a little more water, cook till the gravy is slightly thick and the prawns are cooked.
  • Serve with rice or bread.
