Ingredients

  • White Channa - 1/2 cup.
  • White peas - 1/2 cup.
  • Green peas - 1/2 cup.
  • Groundnut - 1/2 cup.
  • Basmati Rice - 1 cup.
  • oil - 2 tsp.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Cumin (jeera) - 1 tsp.
  • Green chillies - 4.
  • Onion (chopped) - 1.
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece.
  • How to Make Plain Protein Pulav:

    1. Soak white channa and white peas overnight.
    2. Pressure cook the two dals with ground nut and green peas. Once cooled, drain excess water and keep aside.
    3. Make a paste of green chillies, onion and ginger.
    4. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds, paste and saute.
    5. Add the cooked dals and fry for 5 mins.
    6. Add salt.
    7. Add the washed rice and water to pressure cook. Allow for 2 whistles and switch it off.
    8. Garnish with coriander leaves and pudina.
