Ingredients

  • 1 - Small pumpkin, peeled & diced
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 4 tbsp - Grated coconut
  • 1.5 cups - Beaten curds
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Plain Pumpkin Raita

  • Boil the diced pumpkins till they are cooked.
  • In a blender, grind together the coconut, chillies and cumin seeds to a fine paste.
  • Mash the pumpkin with a spoon and mix in the ground paste, curds and salt.
  • Heat oil or ghee in a pan.
  • When hot enough, add in the seasoning ingredients.
  • Pour this into the pumpkin mix.
  • Mix everything thoroughly.
  • Garnish with the coriander leaves.
