  • Chhenna made from 1 litre Milk
  • 1 litre Milk
  • Some Cardamom powder and Saffron
  • Sugar to taste
  • For Syrup:
  • Sugar - 3 cup
  • Water - 4.5 cups
  • How to Make Plain Rasmalai:

    1. Prepare Chhenna mixture.
    2. Shape into 2 cm round balls and press slightly to form discs.
    3. Mix sugar with water. Place on fire and stir till sugar is dissolved.
    4. Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes. Add the chhenna discs, and cover. Cook for 20 minutes.
    5. Let them soak in syrup for 3-4 hours.
    6. Boil 1 litre of full cream milk.
    7. Flavour with cardamom and saffron.
    8. Add sugar to taste.
    9. Drain the chhenna discs from syrup and add to hot milk.
    10. Serve hot or cold.
