  • Rava (sooji) - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • A pinch of Saffron
  • Ghee - 3 tbsp
  • Mixed dry fruits - 2 tbsp
  • How to Make Plain Rava Kesari:

    1. Pour 1/2 tsp of ghee in a pan.
    2. Fry the dry fruits in it and keep aside.
    3. Pour 1.5 tbsp of ghee in the pan and fry the rava until it turns golden.
    4. In the meantime, pour the milk, water and sugar in another pan and boil.
    5. Add the boiling mixture to the fried rava.
    6. Mix well so that no lumps are formed.
    7. Dissolve the saffron in a little milk separately.
    8. Add the fried dry fruits, cardamom powder and saffron to the rava mixture.
    9. Remove the pan from the flame and pour the rava mixture into a bowl.
    10. Add 1 tbsp of ghee to the bowl and mix well.
    11. Serve hot.
