Ingredients

  • Wheat rava - 100 g
  • Sugar - 200 g
  • Milk - 1 litre
  • Cashew nut - 1 tbsp
  • Kismis - 1 tbsp
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • How to Make Plain Rava Payasam:

    1. In a frying pan, add little ghee.
    2. Roast cashew nuts and kismis. Keep aside.
    3. Roast wheat rava in the balance ghee till the raw flavour is lost.
    4. In a thick vessel, boil 2 cups of water.
    5. Add the roasted rava and cook it. Then add sugar.
    6. Allow it to boil for 2 or 3 minutes. Remove from fire.
    7. Add the boiled milk to the payasam.
    8. Add kismis, cashew nuts and cardamom powder.
