Ingredients

  • 1 cup - cooked leftover Rice
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin (jeera)
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1-1/3 cup - Channa flour (besan) mixed with 1/2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/3 cup - rava (fine)
  • 1 - Onion (finely chopped)
  • oil for frying
  • How to Make Plain Rice Pakoras:

    1. Sprinkle a little water on the rice and keep it in the microwave for 2 minutes. This makes the rice soft.
    2. When rice cools down, add all the other ingredients and mix well.
    3. Make into balls and deep fry till they are brown. Enjoy with mint chutney or any sauce. Great appetizer during parties.
