  • 1.5 cup - besan flour
  • 1 cup - soaked saboodana
  • 1 cup - boiled and mashed Potato
  • 1/2 cup - grated Carrot
  • 1/2 cup - finely chopped Onions
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp - finely chopped Green chillies
  • 1 tbsp - Jeera
  • oil to deep fry
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Plain Saboodana Vada:

    1. Soak saboodana for 20 mins and drain water. In a bowl, mix saboodana with mashed potato, onions, grated carrot, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, salt, besan flour and jeera.
    2. No need to add water. The moisture of potato, onions and carrot is enough.
    3. Make soft dough for vada, if necessary u can add besan flour [extra flour].
    4. Shape into vada and deep fry in hot oil upto golden brown.
    5. For Garnishing:
    6. Garnish the vadas with coriander leaves, chopped onions, grated carrot and cucumber slices.
