Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup - besan flour
  • 1 cup - soaked saboodana
  • 1 cup - boiled and mashed Potato
  • 1/2 cup - grated Carrot
  • 1/2 cup - finely chopped Onions
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp - finely chopped Green chillies
  • 1 tbsp - Jeera
  • oil to deep fry
  • salt to taste

How to Make Plain Saboodana Vada

  • Soak saboodana for 20 mins and drain water. In a bowl, mix saboodana with mashed potato, onions, grated carrot, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, salt, besan flour and jeera.
  • No need to add water. The moisture of potato, onions and carrot is enough.
  • Make soft dough for vada, if necessary u can add besan flour [extra flour].
  • Shape into vada and deep fry in hot oil upto golden brown.
  • For Garnishing:
  • Garnish the vadas with coriander leaves, chopped onions, grated carrot and cucumber slices.
