Ingredients

  • 4 - tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 - jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 - red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Vinegar (optional: use Lemon juice instead)
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups - water
  • How to Make Plain Salsa:

    1. Heat oil, add mustard and splutter.
    2. Add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
    3. Then add the finely chopped jalapeno pepper, red bell pepper and fry well.
    4. Then add the finely chopped tomatoes and fry well.
    5. Stir occasionally for 5 mins.
    6. Then add the lemon juice, salt (as per taste) and chilli powder and stir well.
    7. Add water and cook well till it's of a semi-gravy consistency.
    8. Store in a dry bottle and refrigerate.
