Ingredients

  • 1 Kg - Chicken
  • 6 - Cloves Garlic
  • 5cm x 2 inches - Ginger
  • 25ml - Yoghurt
  • Juice of 2 Lemons
  • 1 tbsp - sweet paprika
  • 2 tbsp - ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp - Cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp - Turmeric
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 3 - large Cardamoms
  • salt to taste
  • hand full of chopped Coriander leaves
  • 100 g - Butter
  • How to Make Plain Tandoori Chicken:

    1. Wash the chicken pieces and pat them dry.
    2. Slash the chicken pieces all over with a knife.
    3. Grind all the ingredients together (without adding water) to make a paste.
    4. Marinate chicken overnight with this mixture.
    5. Sprinkle coriander leaves on top, baste with butter and grill.
    6. Serve with lemon wedges.
