Ingredients

  • 1 Kg - Chicken
  • 6 - cloves garlic
  • 5cm x 2 inches - Ginger
  • 25ml - Yoghurt
  • Juice of 2 Lemons
  • 1 tbsp - sweet paprika
  • 2 tbsp - ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp - Cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp - turmeric
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 3 - large cardamoms
  • salt to taste
  • hand full of chopped coriander leaves
  • 100 g - butter

How to Make Plain Tandoori Chicken

  • Wash the chicken pieces and pat them dry.
  • Slash the chicken pieces all over with a knife.
  • Grind all the ingredients together (without adding water) to make a paste.
  • Marinate chicken overnight with this mixture.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves on top, baste with butter and grill.
  • Serve with lemon wedges.
