Ingredients

  • 2 - plantains.
  • 2 - onions.
  • 4 - green peppers.
  • 1/2 " piece - ginger.
  • 1 tbsp - coriander leaves.
  • Salt to taste.
  • oil - deep frying.

How to Make Plantain Vada

  • Cut the whole plantains in 2-3 pieces and cook it in the pressure cooker.
  • Remove the skin and mash it without any lumps.
  • To this add very finely cut onion, hot pepper, ginger, coriander leaves and salt.
  • Make vada shapes out of this mashed plantain-onion mix and deep fry them till crisp.
