Ingredients

  • 8 - ripe plums.
  • 12 - raisins.
  • 1 tbsp - mustard oil.
  • 1 tsp - pachforan (mustard seeds, cumin seeds, black cumin seeds, Fennel seeds and Fenugreek seeds).
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder.
  • A pinch - salt.
  • A pinch - Haldi powder.
  • Sugar to taste.

How to Make Plum chutney

  • Boil the plums in a little water. After cooling, deseed them.
  • Then boil again and add sugar depending on how sweet the plums are.
  • Add haldi, salt, chilli powder and let it simmer. Then add the raisins.
  • If the concoction has become too thick, add a little water and boil.
  • Heat mustard oil in a frying pan.
  • Season it with pachforan.
  • Simmer again. Cool a bit and serve.
  • This chutney can be kept in the fridge for a week.
