Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Bread crumbs.
  • 50 gms - Candied citron peel.
  • 1/2 tsp - Cinnamon.
  • 6 tbsp - Currants.
  • 4 - Eggs.
  • 1/2 cup - Flour, maida.
  • 1/2 cup - Milk.
  • 1/2 tsp - Nutmeg powder.
  • 6 tbsp - Plums.
  • 6 tbsp - Raisins.
  • 1/4 tsp- Salt.
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar.

How to Make Plum Pudding

  • Soak the bread crumbs in water and mash them well.
  • Now blend the flour with a little milk into a paste.
  • Then add the remaining milk and mashed bread crumbs and blend well.
  • Wash the plums, and currants, and dry them.
  • Deseed the raisins and cut the candied peel into small thin slices and keep aside.
  • Now coat the dry fruits with the dry flour and keep aside.
  • Then combine the mashed bread, the flour paste and the dry fruits.
  • Add the slightly beaten eggs, sugar, grated nutmeg and powdered cinnamon to it. Mix well.
  • Now pour this into a greased pudding dish, and bake or steam.
