Ingredients

  • 1 kg - ripe juicy plums.
  • 1 kg - sugar.
  • 6 - cloves.
  • 2 litres - water.
  • 1/2 tsp - active dry yeast.

How to Make Plum Wine

  • Wash the plums and blanch them with 2 litres of boiling water.
  • Cover and keep aside for 1 day.
  • Lightly crush the plums with sugar and add the cloves and yeast.
  • Add 1 more litre of water and mix well.
  • Leave for 3 weeks stirring everyday.
  • Strain the wine and leave for a month to mature.
