Ingredients

  • 1 cup - poha.
  • 1 - onion, cut.
  • 1 - capsicum, cut.
  • 1 - boiled potato.
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • 1 - tomato, cut.
  • 3 - green chillies, cut.
  • 1 tsp - mustard.
  • 1 tsp - urad dhal.
  • 1 - Lemon.
  • 4 tsp - oil.
  • Some cut coriander.

How to Make Poha (Avil)

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, urad dal and cut green chillies.
  • When the mustard starts to pop, add the chopped onions and capsicum.
  • Saute until the onions turn a light brown.
  • Chop the boiled potato and add it to the pan, along with the chopped tomato.
  • Meanwhile, soak poha in water for 2 mins.
  • Drain and add the poha to the pan.
  • Add in turmeric and salt, and mix well.
  • Remove from heat. When it cools a little, squeeze the lemon over it.
  • Serve garnished with coriander.
