Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Beaten Rice flakes (Poha).
  • 1 cup - Coconut (fresh) grated or scraped.
  • 1 - cucumber, chopped finely.
  • 3 - green chillies, finely chopped.
  • 1 inch piece - ginger, peeled and grated.
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds.
  • 2 pinches - asafoetida.
  • 1 stalk - curry leaves.
  • 1/4 cup - fresh curd.
  • 1/2 - tsp sugar.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 tbsp - ghee.
  • How to Make Poha Satvika:

    1. Wash and soak beaten rice for 15 mins.
    2. Heat ghee in a small pan. Add cumin and asafoetida. Allow to splutter.
    3. Add green chillies, curry leaves and ginger.
    4. Fry for a few seconds.
    5. Pour seasoning over soaked rice.
    6. Sprinkle salt, sugar, cucumber, coconut, mix well with hand.
    7. Beat curds till smooth.
    8. Put individual portion of poha in bowl.
    9. Top with 1 tbsp of curd.
    10. Serve immediately.
