Not a very big fan of poha? Who says poha has to be boring? Try this amazing Poha Vada recipe and watch everyone, adults and children, enjoy and finish this lip-smacking dish in no time at all!

The very first step is to soak the poha until it is soft, and then mash the soaked poha into a smooth and soft pulp. Next, you need to add besan, red chilli powder, rice flour, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, amchur powder, and mix well to form a thick batter. Form vadas out of it and keep aside. Next, take heated oil in a wok and deep fry the prepared vadas until they turn golden brown.

Serve with tamarind chutney as a snack during a house party or for evening snacks with tea and coffee!

Ingredients

  • 300 g - poha
  • 50 g - besan/gram flour
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric
  • 1 to 2 tbsp - rice flour
  • 1 tsp - red chilly powder
  • 1 chopped, green chilli
  • coriander leaves
  • salt
  • 1/2 tsp - ginger, garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - dry mango powder/amchoor

How to Make Poha Vada

  • Soak poha until it is soft.
  • Mash to a smooth pulp.
  • Add besan, turmeric, rice flour, red chilli powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, amchoor and mix the above and form vada out of it.
  • In a wok, heat oil and deep fry.
  • Serve with tamarind chutney.
