Ingredients

  • 1 pomfret, washed, sliced and marinated in 1/2 tbsp. Vinegar and 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup - grated Coconut
  • 5 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup - finely chopped Coriander seeds
  • 2 Cloves - garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • one Lime juice
  • 2 tbsps - oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Pomfret Bhurji

  • Heat oil, add garlic, and fry till light brown.
  • Add green chillies and onions.
  • Saute till onions are brown.
  • Add the coconut, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice. Cook on low heat.
  • Add the fish, and stir gently.
  • Cook till the fish is done. Serve hot.
