Ingredients

  • 1 litre (in volume) - plain unbuttered popcorn.
  • 1/2 cup - rolled oats, dry roasted lightly.
  • 1/2 cup - cornflakes.
  • 1/2 cup - Wheat flakes.
  • 15 to 20 - black raisins.
  • 2 to 3 - dried Dates (dehydrated).
  • 1 tsp - Pine Nuts or other nuts of choice.
  • 2 tsp - brown sugar, powdered (or as per taste).
  • 2 pinches - cardamom.
  • 1 tsp - Butter unsalted.
  • How to Make Popcorn with a Difference:

    1. Run popcorn in an electrical mixie for just 2-3 seconds.
    2. It should be broken, not crushed.
    3. Heat butter in a large deep vessel.
    4. Roast pine nuts for a few seconds, add popcorn, toss.
    5. Take off fire, add in all other ingredients, except sugar.
    6. Cool mixture to room temperature.
    7. Sprinkle brown sugar and mix again.
    8. Store in airtight container till served.
