Ingredients

  • 300 gms - Pork sausage, mince
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 1 - large tomato, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - chopped Celery
  • 3 tbsp - Milk
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • 1 tsp - chopped Mint
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 4 tbsp - flour
  • 2 Potatoes peeled and sliced
  • How to Make Pork Mince Pie:

    1. Cook the sausage mince with the tomato, salt, pepper, onions, celery and 1/2 cup of water till the mince is cooked and the water dries up.
    2. Butter an oven-proof dish and fill it with the cooked mince
    3. Place the sliced potatoes on top.
    4. Make a dough with the flour and milk and a pinch of salt.
    5. Roll out the dough into a thin sheet and cover the dish completely.
    6. Mark the edges with a fork and make a few small holes in the dough to allow the steam to escape.
    7. Brush with a beaten egg to give a glaze.
    8. Bake in a hot oven (400 degrees F) for 15-20 minutes or till the top is a nice golden brown.
    9. Serve hot with French fries or chips.
