Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Dalia.
  • 4 tbsps - oil or ghee.
  • 1.5 cups - Mixed vegetables (carrots, beans, peas).
  • 2 cups - Water.
  • Salt to taste| Topping:
  • 1 tomato, chopped finely.
  • 1 cucumber, chopped.
  • 1 onion, chopped finely.
  • Sweet and green chutneys.
  • 1.5 cup - Sev.
  • 1/4th cup - Coconut grated.
  • Coriander leaves - Chopped finely for garnishing.

How to Make Porridge Bhel (chaat)

  • Heat oil or ghee and fry dalia till golden brown.
  • Add vegetables, water and salt.
  • Cover and cook on low heat till the vegetables are cooked.
  • Add lemon juice.
  • Spread in a tray, garnish with topping and serve.
