Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Dalia.
  • 4 tbsps - oil or ghee.
  • 1.5 cups - Mixed vegetables (carrots, beans, peas).
  • 2 cups - Water.
  • Salt to taste| Topping:
  • 1 tomato, chopped finely.
  • 1 cucumber, chopped.
  • 1 onion, chopped finely.
  • Sweet and green chutneys.
  • 1.5 cup - Sev.
  • 1/4th cup - Coconut grated.
  • Coriander leaves - Chopped finely for garnishing.
  • How to Make Porridge Bhel (chaat):

    1. Heat oil or ghee and fry dalia till golden brown.
    2. Add vegetables, water and salt.
    3. Cover and cook on low heat till the vegetables are cooked.
    4. Add lemon juice.
    5. Spread in a tray, garnish with topping and serve.
