Ingredients

  • 10 - parwal.
  • 2 - potatoes.
  • 2 - onions.
  • 1 cm - ginger.
  • 1 tsp - garam masala.
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds.
  • 1/2 cup - Coconut milk.
  • 1/2 cup - oil.
  • salt to taste.
  • How to Make Potala Rasa:

    1. Grind the grated coconut.
    2. Add 3 cups of warm water to it.
    3. Grind the onion, ginger and cumin seeds and make a smooth paste.
    4. Peel the skin and cut the parwal into two pieces.
    5. Cut the potatoes into pieces.
    6. Heat oil in a pan.
    7. Add the potatoes, parwals, salt and turmeric powder.
    8. Cover for sometime.
    9. Then, fry it till it is red.
    10. Add the grated spices and powdered spices and fry.
    11. Then, add the coconut milk and grated coconut to it and let it boil till it is cooked.
