Ingredients

  • 4 - large Potatoes
  • 1 - small Onion
  • 2 tsp - Salt
  • 1.5 cups - Water
  • 4 cups - Milk
  • 1/4 tsp - Pepper
  • 3 cups - Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp - Parsley, chopped

How to Make Potato and Cheese Soup

  • Peel and cut potato into cubes.
  • Chop onion finely.
  • Put potatoes, onion, salt and water in a cooker and cook for 5-7 mins.
  • Open cooker and allow it to cool.
  • Mix the mixture in a blender or mash it through a sieve, return soup to a sauce pan and add milk and pepper.
  • Cook on medium heat and bring it to boil stirring constantly.
  • Add cheese and stir till the cheese melts.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley.
