Ingredients

  • 2 - potatoes (cut as cubes with skin)
  • 1 - onions (chopped finely)
  • 2 - garlic cloves (crushed)
  • A few sprigs - curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - fennel seed powder
  • 1/4 cup - rolled oats
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required

How to Make Potato and Oats Sukka

  • Cook the potatoes with a cup of water and salt in a microwave bowl for 5 minutes. Drain the water and mash the potatoes.
  • Heat oil in a microwave bowl for a minute on high, add chopped onions, crushed garlic cloves, fennel seed powder, curry leaves and salt, cook for 2-3 minutes on high.
  • Add the mashed potatoes with red chilli powder and coriander powder, cook everything again for 5 minutes (stir twice in between).
  • Add the rolled oats to the potatoes and stir well, cook again for a minute. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
