  • 1 - onion
  • 1 cup - flour
  • vegetable oil
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

How to Make Potato Cakes

  • Grate onion and potatoes (grate onion first to keep potatoes from darkening). Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add flour to make a heavy batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan, spread out batter in a pancake shape. Fry on both sides until golden brown and crisp.
