  • Potato - 1, boiled and mashed.
  • Onion - 1, finely chopped.
  • Rice - 2 tbsp, soaked for an hour.
  • Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup.
  • Garlic pods - 2.
  • Red Chilli - 2.
  • Jeera - 1 tsp.
  • Green chilli - 2.
  • Salt to taste.
  • oil for frying.
  • Haldi - a pinch.
  • How to Make Potato Cutlets:

    1. Grind the rice, garlic pods, jeera, red chillies with a little water into a smooth semi-solid paste.
    2. Add the mashed potato, chopped onion, chopped green chillies, salt, haldi and grated coconut and mix well.
    3. Heat oil in a tawa.
    4. Make lemon-sized balls of the mixture and flatten them into the shape of cutlets.
    5. Shallow-fry the cutlets until golden brown.
    6. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or with rice and dal.
