Ingredients

  • 1 cup - moong dal.
  • 3 - potatoes, cut into medium sized pieces.
  • 1 cup - onion, cut into small pieces.
  • 2-3 flakes - garlic.
  • 2-3 - green chillies.
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Potato Daal

  • Cook moong dal with 2 cups of water, potatoes, a little salt and garlic.
  • In a pan, heat oil and add onions and fry for few minutes.
  • Add green chillies, tomatoes and chilli powder.
  • After a few minutes, add the mashed moong dal and a little water if required.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Goes great with rotis.
