Ingredients

  • Potatoes 500kg
  • peas shelled 500g
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • To grind
  • Coriander leaves - 1 medium bunch
  • onions, big - 2
  • Garlic - 7 flakes
  • 1/4 tsp -turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • For seasoning:
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee or oil
  • 1/4 tsp -cumin seeds
  • How to Make Potato Dhariwala:

    1. Mash the potatoes.
    2. Boil water in a pan, put the whole tomatoes in it and keep aside for few minutes. Then peel the skin and grind tomatoes to smooth paste.
    3. Grind the masala using very little water or without water.
    4. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan, season with cumin seeds and fry the ground masala in medium flame, till the ghee separates from it.
    5. Add the tomatoes puree and bring it to a boil. Now add mashed potatoes and peas.
    6. Pour enough water and boil for a few minutes.
    7. Remove from fire, garnish with cut coriander leaves.
    8. Serve hot with puris or chapathis.
