Ingredients

  • 3-4 - potatoes, boiled
  • 1/2 tsp - Saunf
  • 2 cups - cooked Rice
  • Oil/Ghee
  • Salt - according to taste.
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • To wet grind:
  • 1 bunch - Mint leaves
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 4 to 5 - Green chillies
  • 1 - big piece Ginger
  • 2 - Garlic Cloves
  • Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Potato Masala Rice:

    1. Chop the boiled potatoes.
    2. In a pan, heat some oil/ghee. Add cumin seeds, saunf and the wet masala paste with turmeric powder. Fry till the raw smell vanishes.
    3. Add the boiled potatoes and a little water to help the potatoes absorb the masala.
    4. Close the pan with a lid and simmer for some time.
    5. To the cooked potato masala, add the cooked rice. Mix well and simmer for 1/2 a minute.
    6. Finally garnish with coriander leaves
