Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 1/4 kg.
  • Green chillies - 2.
  • Ginger - 1 small piece.
  • Grated Coconut - 1 tbsp.
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp.
  • Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp.
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp.
  • oil - 2 tbsp.
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Potato Masiyal:

    1. Boil potatoes, remove skin and mash.
    2. Grind green chillies, ginger and grated coconut.
    3. Heat a tsp of oil in a pan, add mustard and urad dal and roast lightly.
    4. Add ground paste, mashed potatoes and salt.
    5. Cook for 5 mins.
    6. Serve hot with rotis.
