Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - potato.
  • 1 cup - onion, finely sliced.
  • 1/2 cup - tomato.
  • 1/2 cup - boiled peas.
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds.
  • 4- dry chilli.
  • 1 tsp- Turmeric powder.
  • A pinch of asafoetida.
  • 1 tbsp - oil.
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Potato Onion Curry:

    1. Boil the potatoes. Peel off the skin and cut into small pieces.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add the mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
    3. Add dry chilli, and sautee the onions.
    4. Add the tomatoes, peas, turmeric powder, asafoetida and cook for 2-3 minutes.
    5. Now add the potatoes and cook for another 3 minutes.
    6. Serve hot with rice. This also goes well with chapattis and puris.
